    Johnson & Johnson Vision, part of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech portfolio, is currently hiring a Packaging Engineer Spring Co-op. This role will work under Flex/Hybrid schedule and has two locations supporting Johnson & Johnson Vision: Irvine (CA) & Jacksonville (FL)

    Primary Responsibilities :

    • Support and lead project work assigned to co-op interns by Package Engineers.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, industry consensus standards, and test method standards, including: 21 Code of Federal Laws & International Standards Organization (ISO)
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to execute package engineering procedure improvement projects.
    • Handle professional relationships with team members across technical and business functions of the company through a project management office (PMO).
    • Engage with external suppliers for packaging design development, evaluation, and testing.
    • Improve both soft and hard skills necessary to excel in the roles and responsibilities.
    • Prepare a concluding co-op presentation highlighting the portfolio of work outcomes.
    • Ensure the successful completion of senior projects based on the specified requirements.

    The anticipated base pay for this position is between $24.00 and $32.00, but will be based on candidate's program year, field, degree and/or experience

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must NOT require sponsorship for employment visa status now, or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1)
    • Must be enrolled in an accredited University for a co-op/internship.
    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in engineering or scientific field required; B.S. in Packaging, Package Engineering, preferred
    • Must have transportation to and from work daily
    • Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the term
    • Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required
    • Being able to balance multiple projects and maintain organization
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, leadership skills
    • Ability to understand needs of partners and communicate needs and wants to accomplish work results efficiently.
    • Passion for the healthcare industry.
    • Must have the ability to work individually as well as on a team
