Crotched Mountain School & Village, a program of Seven Hills New Hampshire, is looking for a year-round Paraeducator to join our outstanding team of professionals dedicated to enhancing the lives of our students.

About Crotched Mountain School:

Crotched Mountain School (CMS) hosts innovative special education, recreation, arts, music, and vocational programming for students, aged 5-21, who are on the autism spectrum, and/or have disabilities and other challenges that are better supported in an alternative, least-restrictive environment to their local public school system. Students have the option to live year-round in the appointed residences on the sprawling campus located in Greenfield, New Hampshire. Role Overview: As a Paraeducator, you'll support students with significant neurodevelopmental disabilities in a structured environment, assisting with behavior management and academic goals.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure a safe and consistent environment for students mostly on a 1:1 ratio
• Enhance instructional strategies with specialized skills
• Support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and behavior plans
• Assist educators in devising strategies to reinforce skills and positive behaviors
• Participate in planned activities with students, both on and off campus
• May include personal care such as toileting, showering, dressing, feeding, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Accompany and assist students (ages 5-22) throughout daily activities
• Monitor and collect data on student progress
• Support students across various school and residential settings
• Participate in trainings and meetings

Qualifications:

• Must be 21+
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelors/Associates Degree in a related field preferred but not required
• Experience with individuals with disabilities (preferred)
• Physical requirements include (but not limited to) bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting/standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• CCLU regulation requirements (3,000 hours of verifiable experience working with children, OR associates degree or higher with a minimum of 12 credits in related field, OR attest to being a parent of a child over the age of 7, OR a combination of equal measure).

Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:00pm
