PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process payments received and issues the appropriate cash receipt(s), secure monies collected and summarize shift activity
• Perform functions related to the patient discharge process
• Complete payment processing on HealthPay24 system
• Secure cash receipts in individual cash drawer in order to reconcile the cash drawer at end of shift
• Discharge patients and prepare necessary paperwork
• Ensure the patient is discharged in a timely fashion
• Validate parking garage tickets and issue parking garage access cards
• Validate with proper identification parking garage tickets based upon long stay patient (greater than 14 days) and same day re - entry (multiple daily visits) visitor parking policy
• Validate any exceptions, as directed
• Deliver patient valuables for in - patient appointments
• Perform related duties as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
• Experience handling cash and processing credit card transactions
• Ability to work 22.5 hours per week, Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and available to cover various days and shifts occasionally as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in a financial setting
