Animal Medical Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Petal Animal Clinic in Petal, Mississippi, is seeking an outgoing, dependable, and highly motivated Doggie Daycare Team Member with exceptional people skills to join our veterinary team. In this role, you will represent a well-established veterinary practice committed to excellence in patient care and client service.
This is a part-time position working Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with occasional holiday shifts assisting in the kennel department.
What You’ll Do
As a Doggie Daycare Team Member, you will help maintain a safe, enriching, and well-managed daycare environment for our canine guests while supporting the veterinary team.
Responsibilities include:
• Supervising group dog play and ensuring the safety of all pets • Monitoring dog interactions and spreading attention among dogs during playtime • Using proper dog handling techniques as trained by management • Maintaining constant visual supervision of group play • Reporting unusual behavior, illness, injuries, or eliminations immediately • Maintaining cleanliness and disinfecting daycare rooms and yards according to clinic protocols • Promptly scooping and properly disposing of dog waste • Greeting and interacting with clients in a professional and friendly manner • Working closely with veterinary team members to ensure a positive client experience
Skills Needed

• Excellent verbal and written customer service skills • A genuine love for people and pets • The ability to recognize potential signs of illness in animals • Internet access to receive schedules and communications • Flexibility with scheduling when needed • Ability to stand for extended periods of time • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (or more with assistance) • Comfort working in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
Previous dog daycare or animal handling experience is preferred but not required.
