    Patient Experience Specialist, Emergency Services / 24, evenings (3-11p) Reports to Nursing Director Emergency Services and is responsible for our "customer's" patient experience from arrival on the unit to discharge. The PES is the first person, whom the visitor or newly arrived patient sees upon entering the hospital, it is necessary that s/he be cordial, patient and understanding with all those who arrive at The North Shore Medical Center.The Specialits must, at all times, remember that s/he is a representative of NSMC and in the interest of good public relations and positive customer service should display a courteous and pleasing demeanor at all times. This position requires extraordinary customer service skills and a commitment to teamwork. The PES will be positioned in a central location for providing information to all visitors and patients coming to The North Shore Medical Center. It is crucial to provide assistance to all those who seek help. The Specialist is key to being able to assist with information and to alleviate any anxiety or frustration that people may experience as during the ED encounter. Requires some transport of patients in wheelchairs to rooms. --- * Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills that emphasize focused listening, respectful and compassionate approach. * Must have both vision and value-based abilities to build and sustain positive relationships. * Excellent organizational skills necessary to prioritize and address multiple priorities. * Required the ability to communicate to audiences both formally and informally. * Must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and exceptional aptitudes for intense concentration and mindful attention. * Must possess the ability to effectively, with empathy, interact with a wide range of personality types, ages and diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, in a rapidly changing and growing environment. * Experience and ability wit word processors, spreadsheets, basic statistical analysis skills, graphing and trending of data, inter-application transfer of data and preparation of comprehensive reports preferred. * Intermediate to advanced skills in Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred. * Three to five years experience in data analysis in both large and small databases required. * Substantial background in people-centered communication and customer service required. * Bachelors Degree in business, communication or related field, or equivalent experience required. **Primary Location: **MA-Salem-NSM Salem Hospital **Work Locations: ** **Job: **Customer Service **Organization: **Partners Healthcare System, Inc. **Schedule: **Part-time **Job Posting: **Sep 17, 2018 **Shift: **Evening Job
