    Summary

    Team Lead assists the Operations Manager (or Program Director) in overseeing the team of Pre-licensed Therapists and Specialists.Catalyst is an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. Catalyst provides full service partnership services to Transitional Age Youth (TAY) ages 16 to 25 with a serious mental illness, and who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in San Diego County. Catalyst’s ACT team provides comprehensive, individualized services in an integrated and continuous manner. Services are collaborative and recovery-oriented, and treatment includes: psychiatric assessment, medication management, individual therapy, substance abuse treatment, co-occurring disorders treatment, supportive housing, resource linkage, advocacy, family psycho-education and therapy, supportive employment and education development, legal assistance, community integration services, peer support and group counseling.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities

    Assist in the supervision of Pre-licensed Therapists and Specialists

    Train all new staff with program protocols, review of overall documentation

    Create and facilitate training on Evidence Based Practices (EBP)

    Identify problems and offer constructive suggestions for corrective action to all staff

    Act as lead in handling crisis situations

    Carry out duties as a member of the team, under the direction of the Program Director and/or Assistant Program Director.

    Participate as a member of the treatment team (carry small case load, facilitate daily meeting)

    Transport clients to accommodate various needs. Use of personal car or vehicle is required

    Meet with members individually to assist with addressing member's identified issues.

    Lead WRAP groups, peer to peer, and dual diagnosis groups to address substance abuse issues as needed

    Complete all required documentation as appropriate to document services.

    Provide supportive services, such as assistance securing necessary clothing and grooming supplies, and transportation

    Performs mentoring, offering encouragement and assistance in problem solving and life skills

    Maintain and ensures HIPAA, ethical standards and professional boundaries with all staff and clients

    Provide practical help and mentoring, advocacy, coordination, side-by-side individualized support, problem solving and direct assistance to help clients obtain the necessities of daily living

    A minimum monthly productivity requirement of 50 hours

    Other duties as assigned or necessary to support your department/program, office and/or the company

    Education/Licensing Requirements

    Education and/or Experience: Master’s degree from accredited school in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be registered and/or licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences Proof of and maintain: valid California driver’s license and auto insurance, as well as proof of education are required

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    Should have community resource connections

    Should have experience directing the work of others

    Physical Requirements

    Office Environment (not remote position). Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking;

    May be required to lift up to 20 pounds

    Requires significant use of computer, tablet, phone and/or general office equipment

    Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects

    Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone

    Will require off-site travel 20% - local and out of state (meeting, county and/or client needs)

    Decision Making Responsibilities

    Demonstrates ability to assess situations, considers alternatives, and chooses the appropriate course of action

    Timely notification to manager of either emerging situations or those requiring follow-up attention
