    Position Summary

    The corporate communications co-op will work closely with the communications team to draft content for internal and external communications channels, assist in the execution of digital marketing strategies, support event planning and logistics and contribute to Abiomed's robust patient advocacy program. This job requires interaction with key internal and external stakeholders, so a high degree of professionalism, a dedicated work ethic, and a can-do attitude are critical.

    Key Responsibilities

    Communications and Social Media:

    • Contribute to media relations and social media strategies
    • Write web, email and social media content for Abiomed's digital channels
    • Assist with a variety of digital marketing campaigns
    • Research and draft materials such as media briefing sheets and media lists
    • Write content for a variety of internal communications vehicles
    • Assist with video production
    • Track department projects and analytics

    Patient Advocacy:

    • Assist in logistics planning for patient advocacy events
    • Maintain patient advocacy event calendars and patient trackers
    • Assist with patient visits to Abiomed's Danvers headquarters
    • Manage requests from vendors
    • Help build Abiomed's patient database and video library

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Junior, Senior or Graduate student pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English or a related field
    • Strong writing skills
    • Ability to clearly communicate and express ideas and information
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to support team goals
