    Job Description

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Safety Companion to join our healthcare team in Easton, United States. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients by providing constant observation and support.

    • Maintain a vigilant watch over assigned patients to prevent falls, self-harm, or other safety risks
    • Assist patients with basic needs while maintaining their dignity and comfort
    • Communicate effectively with nursing staff about patient behavior, mood changes, or concerns
    • Engage patients in appropriate activities to promote a positive environment
    • Document patient observations accurately and in a timely manner
    • Respond promptly to patient calls or requests for assistance
    • Ensure a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols
    • Assist with patient mobility and transfers as directed by nursing staff
    • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance patient safety skills
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Current CPR and First Aid certifications (required)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
    • Excellent observation and reporting skills
    • Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient safety protocols
    • Proficiency in time management and multitasking
    • Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient mobility for extended periods
    • Previous experience in healthcare or caregiving (preferred)
    • Empathetic and patient-focused attitude
    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
    • Knowledge of infection control practices
    • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
