The Apprentice Program is the foundation for learning how to be a consultant at PCG. You work on a variety of challenging assignments to assist public sector clients achieve their performance goals and better serve populations in need. Our team is dedicated to ensuring ABAs build a solid foundation for success through serving a diverse client base, playing an integral role on our project teams, and partaking in performance development activities. Our Apprentice Program will push you to fulfill your potential. Responsibilities PCG is seeking a qualified candidate to assist with multiple revenue maximization and cost settlement projects in the Health practice area. This individual will work alongside consulting staff to analyze financial data and develop cost reports for various clients. A successful candidate will have the ability to draw sound conclusions based on data analysis and communicate findings effectively, both in person and in writing. As s/he becomes more familiar with PCG clients and product lines, s/he may take on greater responsibility within projects. The candidate must be able to work within a team and also work independently. The ideal candidate for this position will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks or clients simultaneously. Responsibilities: Conduct financial analysis for multiple clients, including the preparation of cost reports and revenue projections. Assist with the collection, organization and analysis of various types of data, including expenditure and Health Care claims data. Create and manage client agendas, status reports and meetings. Assist with preparation of written reports and deliverables for clients. Provide audit support for clients. Conduct policy and other research. Participate on proposal writing teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions. Other responsibilities as necessary. Qualifications Minimum requirements for this role include: A Bachelors Degree is a minimum requirement. Preferred in Business Administration, Public Policy/Administration, Economics, Government, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field. Note: this is part of our college hiring program, thus candidates must have recently received their Degree in May 2017 or pending graduation in December 2017. Proficiency in Microsoft Office - particularly Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong interest in Health Care, Finance, Government, and Public Sector Consulting. Skilled in quantitative and qualitative analysis. Ability to organize, analyze and manage data. Strong organizational and presentation skills. Commitment to deliver exceptional client service and contribute in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines. Self-starter with a problem-solving approach. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good time management and attention to detail. Flexibility and willingness to embrace change with workload and travel. Preferred Qualifications: General knowledge of State and Local Government services and programs, such as Health Care and Medicaid.
