Position Summary
Assists the pharmacist in the distribution of medication for the pharmacy. Responsibilities include inventory control, narcotic record keeping, TPN calculations and chemotherapeutic medication preparation.

- Possess knowledge of drug names, medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and different pharmacy work areas and equipment used.

Required Experience
_ Minimum Position Requirements_
Work Experience:
- Previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:
- Current registration for Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) approved Sterile Compounding Certification Required for Hire with a minimum 40 hours of training completed
- I.V. Certification completed within 3 months of hire.
Education and Training:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent.
- Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
