    Primary Responsibilities:

    CMS Government Client Directed Audit

    • Analyze and monitor claims that have been selected for CMS Gov’t Client Directed Audits, for various types of audits
    • Gather data elements required by CMS for the specific audit type
    • PDE –prescription drug event, outreach efforts initiated internally by Government Programs. Auditors are tasked with outreach effort to all network retail chain and independent providers as well as Long Term Care Facility providers within the audit sample set
    • Work closely and develop relationships with pharmacy third party administrators and directly with pharmacy staff/management, which requires developing an understanding of the specific laws and prescription requirements from multiple governmental agencies and certain State specific requirements
    • Work in conjunction with management and ensure that audits are completed accurately and within CMS or internal due date

    Provider Manual

    • Take part in a Project Management update
    • Understanding the relevant updates and changes, considering/comparing to other industry manuals in turn giving recommendations for updates and revisions

    Credentialing

    • Assist with the new credentialing process using updated industry standards
    • Assist with credentialing programs in specialized areas of pharmacy practice; Home Infusion, Specialty, Long Term Care

    Analytics

    • Analyze pharmacy data and help with detecting pharmacies that are acting out of compliance with contractual terms or industry standard

  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or another related field from an accredited college/university
    • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
    • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Junior class level
    • PTCB - Pharmacy Technician Certification
