As a FORKLIFT OPERATOR – 3RD SHIFT with LIBERTY PACKAGING TWIN CITIES, you will be a key member of the shipping and receiving team that fulfills shipments for our customers, receives incoming inventory and handles material within the plant for different departments.

This full-time position reports directly to the PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR and is located at Liberty Packaging’s manufacturing plant in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

HOURS/SHIFT: This position is 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Required Skills

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Pick orders by operating both forklift or box truck equipment
• Clear product from assembly lines
• Load trucks for daily shipments
• Receive materials into the plant from suppliers and other Liberty Packaging locations
• Receive and process returned goods from customers
• Create maximum load shipments while ensuring a high level of quality in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Work in a manner that emphasizes safety of self and others by following all work safety policies, programs and guidelines
• Provide support in production as requested or needed
• Communicate effectively to all other team members
• Other duties as requested or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 1-2 years of forklift experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
• Mobile equipment certified or willing to become certified
• Ability to withstand continuous sitting; occasional pushing, pulling, bending and/or stooping; and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills such as typing, printing and data entry
• Ability to read work instructions (i.e. SOP’s, Specs, etc.)
• Must possess a valid Drivers License
