- Atlanta, GA 30363 (Buckhead area) The Staffing office Coordinator is
responsible for Identifying, coordinating and assigning all available
staffing resources for clinical units across the system. The Coordinator
ensures that all clinical units are adequately staffed according to
patient census and acuity by providing continuous monitoring of staff
resources utilizing input from computerized scheduling software,
requests from individual business units and feedback from administrative
recourses. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Participates in daily huddle calls
to understand staffing needs at each entity 2. Continuously monitors
electronic staffing grids to identify changing staffing needs as they
arise. 3. Works in collaboration with clinical nurse manager, department
managers administrative nursing supervisors or their designees to
maintain the daily schedule for each unit and assigned Piedmont
Healthcare departments. 4. Communicates staffing issues to clinical
nurse managers, department managers and the nursing supervisor when
identified. 5. Works with the nursing supervisor and or nurse/department
manager to adjust staffing according to predetermined guidelines. 6.
Manages and balances system wide float pool work schedules and publishes
in accordance with system staffing timelines. 7. Works continuously with
available staff to fill open shifts and balance existing work schedules.
- Accepts telephone calls from system staff unable to fulfill their
staffing commitments. Records and communicates information to
appropriate parties in a timely manner. Works with available contingency
staff and Managers to fill staffing vacancies created. 9. Serves as a
super user for scheduling software and assists unit staff as needed with
software based issues. 10. Assists with timekeeping as needed or
requested by Director, Central Staffing Office... 11. Receives reviews
and reconciles invoices for agency staff, which are submitted to
accounts payable in a timely manner. 12. Coordinates and disseminates
unit, statistical and business reporting generated by the computerized
scheduling software on a predetermined timeline. Requirements MINIMUM
EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma (or GED equivalent) required.
Bachelors degree in Business, Healthcare or related field preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three years of healthcare
administrative/staffing/payroll experience required. Experience in a
hospital environment and in clinical service support functions required.
Must have experience using computers with a high degree of accuracy. 4
