    Title Team Support Staff, Hospital Based Services Location Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan Area Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Shift Days Description Position Summary: According to general directives and established departmental and/or PRCMHS policies and procedures, performs administrative support duties including but not limited to typing correspondence, maintaining department records, distributing mail, and scheduling. The Team Support Staff must demonstrate excellent customer service and have enthusiasm about the program and the Pine Rest organization. This is a full-time 40 hour per week position and hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Offers administrative support through phone and in person including but not limited to the following tasks: greeting and directing visitors or patients, answering questions based on knowledge of department/organization, appropriately transferring and screening calls, maintaining calendars of supervisor(s) and members of the work group, and inputting data in computer system. Maintains department specific files that may be sensitive in nature. Performs record-keeping duties including the following: sorts, classifies, and files semi-complex records, posts appropriate information onto data entry screens, checks and verifies moderately complex arithmetic data, performs routine computations, creates simple queries or may request reports from other data based systems. In clinical areas, maintains medical records, including assisting physicians in completing medical records. In clinical areas, releases medical information as necessary and appropriate for continuing medical care, insurance purposes etc. May be responsible for data entry into Pine Rests Electronic Medical Record System. May transcribe clinician or other staff dictation and/or edit documents given from supervisors or others. Calculates charges, collects, and verifies chargeable for therapies / procedures (in clinical areas) and follows up on balances accordingly. May order supplies. Must be able to maintain composure in environments of elevated stress levels. May support clinicians directly with office support or the transition clinic May manage the personal funds of persons served. May track restitution plans/payments. May be responsible for maintaining program documentation, both program and person served specific. Updating program documents as necessary. May support and promote a recovery focused environment and person-centered approach within the program. May be responsible to demonstrate commitment to Relationship Based Case in Hospital Based Services. Responsible to role model the mission and values of the organization, presenting a professional image that is projected in appearance, attitudes and behaviors, time management and communication skills. Provides spiritual, emotional, social, mental and physical support to patients. Must maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in the required programmatic training. Performs other duties or functions as assigned. Position Requirements Required/Desired Qualifications: Education, Training, and Experience: A minimum of one year of related work experience in order to direct workflow and to effectively prioritize workload preferred. Position requires completion of high school (or equivalent) diploma. Preferred experience using Microsoft Office Suite Additional training may be required through formal education or through seminars. About the Organization Pine Rest is a nonprofit, free standing, behavioral health system founded in 1910 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This comprehensive behavioral health center, coupled with the Pine Rest network of 18 outpatient clinics and satellite offices in Michigan and Iowa, provide individualized and group therapy for people of all ages and all levels of need. Pine Rest clinicians offer therapeutic services in behavioral health for people of all ages and all levels of need across the continuum of care within a Christian framework. Pine Rest has a 198-bed inpatient hospital program with a 36-bed child and adolescent inpatient and a large partial hospital program for adolescents. Additionally, Pine Rest has many inpatient services for adults, including: four 22-bed adult inpatient units each designed for a different level of acuity, a 22-bed co-occurring substance use disorder adult inpatient unit, a large adult partial hospital program, and a 26-bed older adult inpatient unit. The Pine Rest Community and Residential Services Division also provides a wide array of services. With over 220 residential beds across a variety of programs, including treatment for substance use disorders, homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disorders, adults with mental illness, and a program for youth aged 11-18 with extensive trauma histories focusing on trauma treatment and life skills programming. The Pine Rest Behavioral Health Solutions Division partners with behavioral health and medical organizations to increase access to psychiatry services and to provide a continuum of behavioral health and telepsychiatry services throughout many communities across the State of Michigan.
