    Job Description:

    We are searching for the best talent for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Ex Vivo & in Vitro Models to be located in Raritan, NJ

    Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow with expertise in vitro and ex vivo models to join our dynamic research team. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research projects aimed at understanding potential effects of medical devices in ex vivo models. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with leading experts in the field. Our laboratory is focused in innovation and animal model replacement. The ideal candidate will become familiar with regulatory requirements such as US FDA guidance, ISO 10993 and its parts and adhere to its guidelines. The training will also involve acquiring experience in GLP regulations, learning how to conduct risk assessment in medical devices and its components.

    You will be responsible for:

    Under (e.g. limited supervision) and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

    • Develop and refine ex vivo models to study potential effects of newly developed medical devices in the normal function of different organs tissues.
    • Design and conduct experiments using ex vivo / in vitro techniques to address research questions.
    • Analyze and interpret data using appropriate statistical methods.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate findings from ex vivo and in vitro models with in vivo studies.
    • Involved in SOP and protocol developments
    • Contribute to the GLP archiving
    • Daily monitoring laboratory activities, ordering

    Education:

    • Recent Ph.D.(less than five years postgraduate) in Toxicology, Mammal and Cell Biology, Animal Science, Veterinary Sciences, Biomedical Sciences or related discipline. DVM will be considered.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Extensive experience with in vitro, ex vivo models, including Organotypic cultures, tissue explants, or organ-on-chip systems.
    • Extensive experience in handling mammalian cell culture.
    • Performs maintenance of cell lines through propagation, cell concentration and viability determination, and creation of plates used for standard testing.
    • Experience in mammalian cell biology, imaging, molecular biology, histology.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software.
    • Proven track record of high-quality scientific publications.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred Skills & Experience:

    • Experience in a BSL2 laboratory
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Passion for scientific research and innovation.
    • Familiar with GLP guidelines

    Other:

    • This position is based on site in Raritan, NJ and requires up to 5-10% travel
    • This is a 12-month duration based role

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is [$90,500] to [$135,000]

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
