    POSITION COMPONENTS

At the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, what matters most is helping people live full and healthy lives. We focus on treating, curing and preventing some of the most devastating and complex diseases of our time. And we pursue the most promising science, wherever it might be found. Janssen Research & Development, LLC discovers and develops creative medical solutions to address important unmet medical needs in oncology, immunology, neuroscience, infectious diseases and vaccines, and cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Janssen BioTherapeutics is searching for an energetic, highly-motivated POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW to carry-out research for next-generation, iPSC-based CAR-T/NK cell platform for developing novel engineered products for adoptive cell therapy for oncology.  Present CAR-T cell immunotherapies show impressive clinical responses, with two CAR-T cell products approved by the FDA for the treatment of B cell malignancies. However, these CAR-T cells are be engineered from patient-specific T cells, which manifest several key shortcomings. This creates an unmet medical need for novel cellular therapies that can overcome these challenges. Through exploring and leveraging new insights this postdoctoral fellow will conduct research to answer many aspects of iPSC-based CAR-T/NK cell biology that are yet unexplored and define the parameters for building the best-in-class and robust generation of genetically engineered iPSC lines. These iPSC lines will further used by for research activities focused on engineered immune cells and their differentiation into various immunological lineage cells (including T Cells and NK Cells and other immune cells). You will be rewarded with an excellent opportunity to interact with various teams focused on cutting-edge engineered cell therapy platform development. In addition, upon completion of the postdoctoral program, the Fellow will have acquired valuable career experience that enables entry into translational academic settings, biotech-related opportunities, and/or continued development in large pharma.
