    Program Coordinator, Miami Job Description:

    Common Threads is seeking a passionate, results-oriented Program Coordinator based in Miami. This position will be responsible for maintaining relationships with partner sites, including school contacts, community-based organizations, and supporting the local Chef Instructors and Nutrition Educators. This role will be an integral member of the Common Threads’ Miami team. The Program Coordinator will assist with the coordination of ongoing Common Threads’ programming and support special national and Miami-based projects, on an as-needed basis.

    This is a part-time, non-exempt position, working up to 29 hours per week, that reports to the Associate Director of Programs in Austin, TX. This role will be a remote/work from home position based in Miami, with regular local travel to school and community partner sites, and occasional travel outside of Miami.

    Program Coordinator Responsibilities:

    • Conduct outreach and schedule meetings with key stakeholders
    • Support in managing school and community partner relationships in the Miami-Dade metro area, including:
      • Develop and maintain partnerships per grant goals
      • Work with school administration and sites to schedule and implement in-school and after-school nutrition and cooking classes
      • Manage specific program elements such as online platform set-up, grocery logistics, rosters, attendance records, curriculum, and surveys
      • Engage in class visits and observations to ensure high quality program implementation
    • Work with the Director of Evaluation to complete data entry and return surveys
    • Coordinate and conduct in-person and virtual Small Bites Teacher Training, as needed
    • Support training, resource management, and scheduling of Chef Instructors and Nutrition Educators
    • Utilize Salesforce (CRM) to track all program data

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required, preferably in the fi eld of Education, Program Management, Public Health, or Nutrition
    • Nutrition and Dietetics Professional background preferred
    • Knowledge and understanding of cooking and culinary basics preferred
    • Bilingual a plus
    • 1-3+ years of experience in not-for-profit organizations preferred
    • Experience working with Salesforce or a CRM preferred
    • Ability to work within a mission-driven environment to develop professional and respectful relationships with people both internal and external to Common Threads
    • Ability to work independently and remotely with confidence
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and ability to adapt communication style depending on the task and audience
    • Strong organizational, time management and logical thinking skills; must be task-oriented and comfortable multi-tasking
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving skill set
    • Possess positive, upbeat energy and a passion for wellness, food access, tolerance and awareness, and making a positive impact on society
    • Must have access to an insured personal vehicle and be willing to travel locally

    Additional Information:

    • Candidates must reside within Miami-Dade County.
    • This is a part-time, non-exempt position that will be remote/work from home.
    • The position will primarily work Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm. Some nights and/or weekends may be required.
    • Candidates must be willing to travel regularly to local school and community partner sites, and occasionally travel outside of Miami.
    • This position reports to the Associate Director of Programs in Austin, TX.

    Work Environment: This job operates in a home office as well as in schools and organizations in the community. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and fi les.
