Pharmacist Intern **Providence is calling a Pharmacy Intern ****(Dept, Shift, 0.0) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable. ** In this position you will (Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist): * Evaluate and educate patients regarding medications and anticoagulation, monitor inventory, according to all regulatory agencies and department policies and procedures to ensure quality of services. * Perform pharmaceutical care programs which include assessment, monitoring and outcomes related to patient drug therapy per department policies and procedures. * Promote and monitor the medical/pharmacy therapeutic plan that will produce specific therapeutic outcomes for the patient. * Consistently coordinate and/or implement patient education program appropriate for the patient and based on the patient's and/or family's ability, willingness and readiness to learn. * Perform leadership functions to guide, direct, supervise and coordinate staff to efficiently achieve and maintain an orderly pharmacy unit (satellite/station). Required qualifications for this position include: * High school diploma or equivalent AND enrollment in an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy * Current Pharmacy Intern registration issued in Washington State Preferred qualifications for this position include: * Prior experience in a hospital, ambulatory, or retail pharmacy * Second year Pharmacy students (Class of 2021).
