    We are searching for the best talent for QC Incoming Inspector.

    Purpose : Under direction of the Quality Incoming Supervisor, responsible for the sampling, inspection and approval of Packaging Components. Responsible for testing of Packaging Components and some Raw Materials. Assure the compliance to all quality control policies, procedures and systems to ensure the timely release of high-quality product in support of the supply chain process. Failure to perform his/her functions effectively could result in product recall, production delays and/or back-order status.

    You will be responsible for :

    • Performs sampling, inspection, testing and approval of Packaging Components in accordance with internal and external regulations and policies and consistent with supply chain approval cycle time goals.
    • Performs sampling and testing of Raw Materials in accordance with internal and external regulations and policies and consistent with supply chain cycle time goals.
    • Inspection of the labeling, quantity and material or product to be shipped.
    • Audits the Certificate of Analysis and Certificate of Compliance Receiving Report of Raw Materials and Packaging Components in accordance with internal and external regulations and policies and consistent with supply chain cycle time goals.
    • Interacts with Technical Development group during the validation activities and transfer of new products.
    • Assigns proper disposition to materials/products through the Computer System within established cycle time and schedules.
    • Verifies (Peer Reviewer) data/results generated by another Incoming Inspector.
    • Complies with the goals of the quality team and with overall business and process goals.
    • Performs other duties as required by the TEAM to support the supply chain process.
    • If the associate acts as Environmental Trainer Auditor, the following responsibilities apply:
      • "Acts as OMP ISO 14001 Team Member supporting the Environmental Management System Coordinator in the implementation, training and continuous improvement of the EMS in his/her operational area and in any other activities where could be required".
      • Conducts monthly environmental audits in his/her operational area.
      • Provides environmental talks on a bi-monthly basis to his/her operational area.
      • Conducts weekly inspection of chemical cabinets existing in his/her operational area.
      • Provides assistance in conducting semi-annual Environmental Management System audits in the JSC-Gurabo site.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • An Associate’s Degree in Science and a minimum of 0-2 years of related experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical devices industry is required; or High School Diploma and at least four (4) years of related experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical devices industry is required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
    • Forklift license is preferred.
    • Knowledge of cGMP’s and safety regulations is required.
    • Bilingual (Spanish / English) proficiency is required.
    • Computer and Software skills is required.
    • Knowledge use ANSI Inspectors Rule is preferred.
    • Ability to carry up to 30 pounds is required.
    • Availability to travel up to 10% is required.
    • Availability to work the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts is required. Additionally, you must be flexible to switch shifts or work weeks, and to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
