Provides dispatch, telephone and personal contact with cleaning personnel and others requiring communication with the housekeeping office/storeroom area. Ensures compliance with employee check-in/out supply and equipment policies and procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: One (1) year or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience in housekeeping, support services or customer service. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Knowledge of principles/application of sanitation/cleaning/ infection control required. * Strong organizational skills with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated aability to work effectively within a team environment and work effectively with housekeeping, hospital staff and suppliers required. * Demonstrated ability to utilize a computer to generate and print reports, enter data and manage information. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged walking, standing, stooping and bending; may lift up to 50 pounds; exposure to infectious agents and harsh chemicals.
