    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    UHG R&D is looking for an intern to investigate the ways in which marketing & UX design strategies can be applied to engage patients in disease-management programs. The intern will collaborate with and present ideas to a multi-disciplinary chronic disease team to help inform their multi-year research program.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Apply knowledge of marketing, consumer behavior, and user experience to help our core team develop a multi-year research program to improve chronic-disease care through technology, data analytics, and interventions
    • Identify emerging opportunities in marketing and UX design relevant to chronic disease treatment and prevention
    • Dive into the relevant literature with a critical eye, incorporate data from multiple sources, synthesize literature reviews and internal position papers based on your findings, and present findings

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, brand strategy, business, UX, or related field

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Currently enrolled in a relevant masters or doctorate program
    • Post-college experience in an applied setting
    • Experience in human-centered design
    • Foundational understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, biology, and basic physiology
