  • Responsibilities

    Seeking interns to join our team as an Intensive Care Coordinator Intern currently pursuing their Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or a related field preferred!

    This internship offers a diverse experience working in our Community Service Agency alongside Family partners and people served. You will have the opportunity to work with youth (age 3-21), their families, natural supports, school systems, and other mental health providers.

    This position involves travelling to homes, schools, hospitals, and into the community. A car is a necessity for this position.

    Schedule : Three full days (24 hours per week). Days are flexible as long as they include Thursday. Work days are currently hybrid.

    Please note that this internship is unpaid, however you will be reimbursed for mileage.



    As an Intensive Care Coordinator Intern, you will:

    • Provide oversight of care planning and coordination of mental health services to children with serious emotional disturbance. You will have a caseload of 2-3 families.
    • Provide clinical assessments and individualized care to each child and family.
    • Participate in weekly supervision, intern supervision group, staff meetings and group supervision.
    • Have access to free trainings at Riverside Community Care and from our community partners.
    • Be responsible for documentation and organizing related paperwork.
    • Care Coordinators are trained in the Motivational Interviewing-Informed Wraparound Model of Care to support caregivers and their children make changes to improve their lives.
