  • Responsibilities

    Seeking Master’s level interns to join the Riverside DMH Flex Program team as a clinical intern currently pursuing their degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred!

    The DMH Flex program addresses the emotional and behavioral difficulties facing youth up to age 21, while simultaneously working to improve family dynamics. We provide personalized strategies to promote the child’s healthy behavior at home, in the community, and at school. This program supports the whole family including parents, caregivers, and other children in the home who may also be affected by providing them with tools to better cope with and manage crises.

    Schedule:

    Flexible Mon-Fri (16-24 hours per week) evenings hours required

    We are interested in a candidate that would like a full year internship.

    Please note that this internship is unpaid. This internship requires a license and vehicle.

    As a clinical intern you will:

    · Hold a caseload of 2-3 clients

    · Receive weekly 1:1 clinical supervision

    · Attend staff meetings, group supervision, and trainings provided

    · Managing paperwork and completing progress notes

    · Plan and co-facilitate a therapeutic group of your choice.

    • Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program
    • Prior experience working with children, adolescents, and/or young adults preferred.
