Description of Duties: Prepares claims/statements for patients, insurance carriers, State and federal agencies according to billing specifications and in a timely manner; prepares and completes inquiries concerning patient accounts to various internal departments; contracts verbally or in writing insurance carriers, State or federal agencies concerning patients accounts; records, maintains, and analyzes reports or data pertinent to the processing or finalization of patients accounts; performs other billing functions assigned. Qualifications: Applicants must have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in medical billing and follow-up procedures or a related field or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and Medical Billing Certification.
