The focus of this position will be working with the SWAN-Aging study team to complete recruitment efforts and administrative tasks. The student intern will assist with all aspects of this specific research related work. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Job Responsibilities:Primarily serve in the capacity of obtaining trainee level experiences on research teams.Observe and assist experienced team members conducting research in the diverse populations of community and clinical setting.Assist with data entry and checking as directed.Gain experiences in research methodology, field operations and scientific endeavors to support the team.Perform administrative functions, including monitoring the schedule of deliverables, assisting with written and electronic correspondence, and other office work as needed.Position is up to 32 hours per week.Location: Main office: Rush Dept. of Preventive Medicine, 1700 W. Van Buren, Suite 470, Chicago, IL 60612. Required Job Qualifications/Competencies:Current undergraduate student or degree.Coursework in research methods, public health, psychology, nutrition or related fields.Previous experience with research preferred.Proficient with computer applications; Expert skill with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills.Must be able to work efficiently, follow-through with assignments independently, with excellent attention to detail as well as strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and analytic skills.
