    Janssen Ortho LLC, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Planning Co-Op assignment.

     

    At Janssen Gurabo, you will join our mission by becoming a key contributor to Global Planning improvements using the latest methodologies. This includes the execution of projects and processes improvement through use of Business Excellence and supply planning tools. You will also collaborate with other functional areas to reduce cost, reduce inventory, and optimize flow aligned to customer demand by eliminating waste. You will also contribute to achieve process standardization through optimizing and detailing Global Planning processes.

    SC GLOBAL PLANNING CO-OP WILL:

    • Support the organization in any initiative to improve processes through; kaizen teams, 6S, dashboards, scorecards, visual aids, standard works, time studies, lean problem-solving exercises, etc.
    • Execute projects using continuous improvement methodologies as applicable by the project.
    • Work Systems Design, Motion and Time Study - take time studies as applicable to support projects
    • Support the creation as applicable of VSM, prioritized job jar, project plan, plan layout, production planning, engineering economics, managerial and cost accounting analysis.
    • Engage people thru kaizen teams, trainings, ideas generation, and other improvement activities.
    • Support the maintenance of site dashboards, scorecards, visuals, etc.
    • Contribute for departmental goals such as: building/updating databases, assisting on trainings or certification programs and crafting education material, among others.
    • Support site projects with activities that include but are not limited to: capacity optimization, master data revision, project management, materials readiness, scheduling optimization and Event Process/window review.
  • Qualifications
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (Engineering majors preferred with a minimum GPA of 3.2/4.0) and eligible to complete a 6-month Co-Op assignment.
    • APICS Certification, Lean Six Sigma or Master Planning certifications preferred.
    • Strong analytic skills and problem solving/improvement and critical thinking mentality.
    • Basic Statistical courses and skills
    • Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PPT, and Visio.
    • Interpersonal skills to work optimally and engage with others
    • Previous Internship/Coop and/or Research experience is preferred.
    • Previous work experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields of research is a plus.
    • Extracurricular experience such as a student association membership on a related field is highly desirable.
    • Business Excellence methodology course or training
    • Ability to work in Production Planning/inventory platforms and perform capacity leveling
    • SAP knowledge or previous experience
    • Minitab statistical software knowledge is a plus.
    • Proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written)
    • This position may require working irregular shifts or hours
