Competitive Intelligence Analyst Intern Headquarters (Austin, Texas, USA)/en-US/SailPoint/job/Headquarters-Austin-Texas-USA/Competitive-Intelligence-Analyst-Intern_R000863/apply The Competitive Intelligence Analyst will provide research and analysis needed to generate market intelligence for SailPoint competitors. This internship will be focused on a project that extends and accelerates the competitive intelligence lifecycle within SailPoint. The intern will learn about how to conduct detailed, actionable competitive intelligence within an advanced competitive intelligence program. What You'll Do: There is no typical day in the world of competitive intelligence. Your activities might include researching a specific competitor and its capabilities, or scouring the news for warnings and indicators of competitor activity, or meeting with product teams to compare and contrast competitor product offerings. There is always variety! No competitor is the same; each one tries to differentiate itself from others and this is the key to conducting intelligence research and analysis on these competitors. Taking a holistic approach to research, the competitive intelligence analyst must study each competitor anew and look for ways in which their products and services can be exploited by comparing those to ours. Findings for each competitor are examined with the assistance of various internal company teams, and then those findings are polished and presented to the broader company in various formats. Additionally, emergency requests for intelligence may come from the sales field or the executive team at any time, and this is where ones intelligence skills are put to the test because they will help drive urgent responses to new business or drive strategic business decisions.
