Sonographer Intern, Ultrasound ~ PD -Job Number:00109039 -Location:Fresno, CA -Organization Name:Saint Agnes Medical Center -Facility:SACA - Saint Agnes Medical Center -Employment Type:Part time -Hours:0 Reporting to the PACS Admin/US Supervisor, Radiology Administration, this Intern position is responsible for learning and performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations in the areas of ob/gyn, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound; providing patient care and physician assistance during the performance of those examinations/procedures. 1. High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2. Current enrollment in an ultrasound program to complete requirements for application to ARDMS, ARRT or CCI (RVS) for certification is required. Enrollment in Saint Agnes Medical Center cross-training upon hire may be substituted for enrollment in an ultrasound program. 3. Progression towards a thorough knowledge and understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and pathological processes, ultrasound physics, and the practical application of those principles is required. 4. RDMS(OB or AB), RT(S), RVT or RVS certification within 24 months of completion of an ultrasound program or Saint Agnes Medical Center cross-training, whichever is earliest, is required. 4. Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating ultrasound scans is required. 5. Ability to relate in a professional manner to patients, physicians, and the public and other health care providers, and demonstrate excellent customer service orientation is required. 6. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
