Core Job Functions Include: Reporting to the Data Engineering Manager and serving under the team lead, the ETL Developer is responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting a vibrant and evolving full-stack high-quality Big Data and analytics ecosystem. -Participates in a team environment for the development, implementation, and maintenance of code and processes to extract, transform, and load data in multiple data stores. -Translates business rules and processes into technical solutions through programming and data mapping. -Responsible for participating in code reviews and design reviews. -Performs analysis, development, and evaluation of data mining in a data warehouse environment that includes data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation. -Troubleshoots to resolve incidents. Proactively works to identify and correct root causes of incidents to prevent future recurrence and promote continuous improvement. -Provides input into developing standards and requirements for ETL related work. -Maintains an accurate, up-to-date, and well documented ticket queue. Consistently provides documentation around area of support based on department and organization standards. -Acts as a primary contributor to the design and implementation of system solutions based on customer and/or organizational requirements using ETL tools. -Participates in Lean and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) activities to reduce waste in work processes and independently checks own work for removal of waste. -Reflects Salem Health values: Excellence, Caring, Integrity, Accountability, and Teamwork. Minimum Qualifications Include: -Bachelors Degree required. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Healthcare preferred. -Minimum of two (2) years of IT, Healthcare, or related experience required. -Minimum of one (1) year of experience with SQL Development required. -Experience in developing/support of the following: SQL and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Include: -Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills. -Solid communication skills, both oral and written. -Ability to work in department and interdepartmentally to articulate ideas, negotiate resolution of issues, and achieve objectives. -Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. -Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other productivity tools, and assigned applications and technologies. -Experience with IT Service Management tools preferred. Working Conditions Include: -Frequent sitting. -Constant use of arms/wrist, manual dexterity (grasping/squeezing), & keyboard operation. -Must be available to be on call 24x7 for specified periods of time and work alternate shifts as workload requires.
