    Position Summary Environment consists of multiple RDBMSrsquos to include (but not limited to) MS SQL, Postgresql, MySQL and MariaDB. Applicant would be responsible for database server management, installation, setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of all RDBMSrsquos. Apply security updates and service packs in a timely manner, making best efforts to ensure that performance, reliability and integrity are not compromised as a result. Participate on implementation teams as the database SME. Determine and document database policies, best practices, procedures and standards. Performance monitoring and tuning. Manage and maintain all SA accounts and SQL Licensing in applicable database tracking documents. Daily monitoring and automation (where applicable) of query and server performance. Manage system security and disk usage as it relates to databases. Oversee data security through management of access and security. Oversee storage usage through monitoring and working with both Applications and Networking teams. Routinely scan for unintended security changes and vulnerabilities, review and recommend changes as necessary. Create and manage reports using SQL, then publish via various tools. Create, manage and maintain ETL and various data extracts. Undertake projects as assigned. Develop creative and innovative initiatives to improve the services offered by IT within the SRHC Health System. Provides 1st and 2nd level software application support. Develops and maintains information systems, software, and documentation, including problem identification and analysis. Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements. Improves systems by studying current practices designing modifications. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Minimum Experience Minimum 2 years I.T. experience Experience with EHR technology implementation, maintenance, and support functions preferred Required RegistrationLicenseCertification None
