    Job Description

    The GRANT WRITER/ DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR will work with the VP of Development to identify grant opportunities, maintain an organized work environment, follow up on Development correspondence, coordinate projects, gather data for needs assessments, work on grants and grant reports, organize community events, arrange community stakeholder meetings, working on advocacy, social media, marketing, and public relations.

     WE OFFER:

    • STARTING WAGE -  $19.30 - $22.19 PER HR. 
    • MONDAY TO FRIDAY – 8 AM TO 5 PM

    OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A QUALITY, INTEGRATED HEALTH CARE HOME TO THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE

    The GRANT WRITER/ DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR will work closely with Salud directors, Salud employees, legislators, and their staff, community members, and stakeholders along with partnering agencies. Approaches his/her tasks in a team-based care fashion that supports patients and their families in a self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change.

    FUND DEVELOPMENT:

    • Assists in identifying and cultivating grants, contracts, agreements
    • Writes and manages grants and grant reports
    • Updates and maintains the grants and contracts calendar
    • Responds to and applies regulations from Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA)
    • Assists in Shortage Division applications to maintain current shortage designations

    MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS:

    • Helps inform and implement an overall Marketing Plan for the organization in an effort to develop and maintain brand identity
    • Manages social media posts to reflect current Salud priorities
    • Manages, creates, and oversees content for ad designs, signs posted in clinics, social media
    • Supports photography and video development for use in marketing.
    • Initiates and follows up with media coverage for Salud, including events, activities, and issues relevant to health care
    • Cultivates relationships with media
    • Assists in the production and updates of the website, brochures, displays, and audiovisuals as needed
    • Assists in writing Salud reports and presentations
    • Works in conjunction with Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, Enrollment Specialists, Customer Service Associate and all other staff to ensure that patients obtain the highest standard of integrated health care
    • Acts as a patient advocate for our vulnerable populations by ensuring that patients are fully informed and comfortable with their visit to SALUD
    • Follows procedures for the electronic health records system

    SPECIAL EVENTS:

    • Works with the VP of Development and clinic staff to assist in community events, National Health Center Week events, and voter registration in particular
    • Assists with identifying funding sources and sponsors for events

    Under the supervision of the VP of Development

     QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT (IF APPLICABLE):

    • Ability and willingness to work some evening and/or weekend hours as needed
    • Passion for working in a non-profit that provides health care services for low-income individuals and families
    • Remote working arrangement available, with in-clinic and in-administration building as needed

    EDUCATION:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
    • High school diploma or GED, required

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Prior business and/ or marketing experience preferred.
