Responsibilities and Qualifications Summary: The Web Application UI Intern is responsible for developing, testing, and troubleshooting application UI code for Hybris-based eCommerce sites associated with the Bound Tree and EMP business units of the Sarnova family of companies. This individual is responsible for web application UI review and ensures that technical requirements are met via documented application code. This individual researches, recommends, develops, and tests application UI code to deliver scoped UI features while continuously improving site performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as UI development resource primarily for boundtree.comRoutinely interface with marketing teams to understand business needs and associated technical requirementsTest application UI when delivered by vendor for Desktop/Tablet/MobileDocument appropriate source code fixes to be implemented by vendorDirectly support help desk personnel and proactively engage additional resources as necessary to resolve end user issuesProactively monitor review all pages in system and address issues as appropriateEnsure security standards and practices are implemented and maintained within the environmentQualifications: Academic project/classroom experience or work experience in a dynamic environment developing eCommerce/web UIPursuing a degree in technical discipline (Computer Science/Engineering, Management Information Systems, etc.)Academic knowledge of or hands on work experience JSP, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, LESSExposure to Java-based sites a plusExposure to PCI data security standards a plus.
