    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Health Education Supervisor (HEDS) will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the daily functions of a team of Health Educators in collaboration with the Health Education Program Manager (HEDM). The HEDS will oversee the health education team located throughout Western Washington. Ability to travel is required. This is an open location position meaning that the interested applicant can work at any of the sites where Sea Mar operates. Sea Mar has sites throughout Western Washington beginning in Everson and ending in Vancouver, Washington. The applicant may choose the site to work in. 

    He or She will assist in the program design and planning process to implement and refine the Health Education Program at Sea Mar and the practice of each health educator. The responsibilities of the HED Supervisor include, but are not limited to, personnel management, data collection and reporting, and reimbursable billing services. The HED supervisor will also be responsible for assisting with the organization of community health promotion activities and events, as well as publicity and recruitment for the program. Community involvement may also include providing education about the program in settings such as group sessions, health fairs, clinics, etc., as needed.

    EDUCATION AND/OR REQUIREMENTS:

      • Bachelor's level education plus two to three years of health education, care coordination or case management experience, and supervisory experience preferred.
        • Familiarity with the Diabetes Prevention Program, the Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring or the REACH programs is preferred.
        • Experience working with underserved transient populations.
        • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
