    Major Responsibilities

    The Senior Manager, Global Technical Operations, will drive New Product Introductions, Lifecycle Management and effective governance within Ethicon’s product platforms.

    The Senior Manager will represent Supply Chain Organization in the development and commercialization activities for New Product Development (NPD) projects, and the integration of New Products into Manufacturing and driving lifecycle management, sustaining activities and other operations responsibilities. They will partner with Marketing, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Value Stream and other Supply Chain teams to develop strategies to achieve business goals and provide governance through effective prioritization and allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals.

    Scope of Responsibilities

    • Lead a cross-functional product team, focused on the end-to-end alignment of New Product Introduction, Life Cycle Management and Network programs, with the overall business goals for Ethicon’s platform products
    • Provide global operations leadership to assigned new product development projects
    • Build strong cross-functional teams, providing feedback and mentor team members
    • Follow defined processes & procedures related to new product development and product management to ensure compliance and to meet business results
    • Identify gaps in existing business processes and drive improvement activities to close them
    Experience and Key Competencies
    • A minimum of 10 years of meaningful work experience in a business or technical role is required. Experience working in the healthcare or other regulated industry is required.
    • Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and/or Biologics experience is helpful.
    • Ability to develop people, manage technology, embrace financial goals and use customer-focused decision making
    • Change management, project management, the ability to work optimally and drive alignment in a global environment through strong communication and empowerment
    • Strong communication and management skills are required.
    • Experience leading medical device New Product Development teams is preferred.
    • Project Management Mastery (5-years of several significant project management experience required.)
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams is required.
    • Experience in building business strategies and driving strategy implementation is required.
    • Six Sigma/Process Excellence and/or Project Management/PMP/FPX certification is preferred.
    • Strong Credo champion and role model for the organization
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    Education

    • A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required in an Engineering or Science field
    • An advanced degree, such as an MS or an MBA is preferred
