Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine R&D is recruiting for a Senior Scientist, Biotherapeutics Research & Development. This position is a hybrid role and will be located in Malvern, PA.
We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our innovative team within Drug Product Development and Delivery (DPD&D) in the Therapeutics Development and Supply (TDS) Organization. In this role, you will leverage your scientific expertise and digital skills to develop, guide and implement end-to-end FAIR data science strategy in DPD&D. You will collaborate closely with scientists to structure and automate data capture to improve multisource data aggregation, data visualization and automated analysis and reporting.
Principal Responsibilities:
Partner with functional groups in TDS, especially those functions accountable for data strategy, to align and efficiently implement data strategy.
Partner with functional, IT and data science stakeholders to develop use cases for data capture systems to enable automated analysis, reporting, and advanced modeling.
Identify and implement aggregation systems to centralize contextualized drug product development data.
Implement systems to work towards automated reporting and dossier content authoring.
Implement data visualization systems that impact the drug product development decision-making process to decrease timelines and increase robustness in drug product development.
Design and extend R&D data models that enable FAIR data access for analytics, advanced modeling and reporting needs.
Coach more junior colleagues in techniques, processes and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related discipline is required. Advanced degree (Master’s, Ph.D.) preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or a minimum of 1 year of experience (including postdoctoral studies) with a Ph.D. is required.
Experience with therapeutic proteins and/or biologic products is required.
Experience in pharmaceutical discovery or development is preferred.
Expertise in databases, data visualization and dashboarding (e.g., Excel, Spotfire, Tableau, PowerBI, R-Shiny, SQL) is required.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
Must have excellent analytical skills to identify gaps and root causes of issues and think out of the box to develop a solution.
The ability to present complex technical concepts to internal and external customers is required.
The ability to work in a matrix environment and collaborate with different functional groups is required.
