We are currently looking for PRN Youth Care Workers to work 2nd Shift for our male youth residential program located in Madison, AL Position Overview: Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Youth Care Worker supervises and assists students ages 12 yrs. to 1eight yrs. in all program related activities using professionally acceptable methods and techniques. The Youth Care Worker shall ensure that youths basic needs such as shelter, safety, food, and clothing are met in compliance as outlined in Sequel and DYS & DHR policies & procedures and residential manuals. The appropriate candidate will have the: Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for students while serving as a role model. Ability to write documentation in student records, routine reports, and correspondence. Ability to influence and practice the Sequel vision and mission. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to supervise student's daily routine and behaviors and respond accordingly, when necessary. Schedule: Days will rotate during the week and hours will be based on the needs of the program. Applicant must be flexible in days and hours 3:45pm to 12:fifteenam. This is a PRN ( as needed ) position. Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma and for the applicant to be twenty one years of age or older. Experience working with delinquent youth or in the mental health field is desirable. Applicants with equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
