    Systems Analyst, Cerner EMR Summary The System Analyst supports

    key Inpatient Pharmacy initiatives and ongoing system support involving the pharmacy/medication portion of the Cerner Millennium application. The Pharmacy team supports Cerner PharmNet, Cerner PowerChart, Pyxis suite of applications, DosEdge, and a number of other pharmacy related applications across the organization. The position will support enhancement of capability of medication management to include the Cerner Pharmacy Application (PharmNet) and other applications that support medication ordering, processing and administration in acute and ambulatory care settings. The focus on of this position is to enhance Pharmacy, Physician and Nursing as it relates to safe medication practices. On-call support of applications covering physician transcription, innovative pharmacy solutions and interfaces to other systems required. The position requires analysis of customer requirements and translation of business into solid system design, with an emphasis on enhancing patient care tools and improving user productivity. Individual will spec, implement, support and build enhancements of the Millennium application as well as support other Pharmacy related applications. On-call support will require review, use and enhancement of on-call support documentation. The Inpatient Pharmacy team support works under the Cerner Hospital Electronic Medical Record (EMR) team, which is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and customer support of the Cerner Millennium application. Additionally the team is responsible for the integration of data from Flowcast to Cerner and from Cerner out to other system applications like OnBase. The team collaborates with clients, vendors, teammates and other divisions across IS to meet customer, regulatory and IS infrastructure requirements for implementations and upgrades. The team analyzes system problems, uses creativity to provide viable customer solutions, write and execute detailed test plans, and creates thorough documentation for issues escalated through the Technical Assistance Center. All Cerner teams participate in the Cerner on call rotation for issues escalated through the Technical Assistance Center. Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.
