Bed Placement Coordinators are experienced nurses who are part of a process which manages patient placement for each of the hospitals in the Sharp Health Care system. Working from the Centralized Patient Placement Center located at Spectrum, these nurses help to implement this innovative program. Bed Placement Coordinators must be flexible, creative, detail oriented, computer literate and have excellent telephone skills. The Patient Management Center is department at the Sharp System level that is responsible for the patient placement function at all of the Sharp HealthCare acute facilities, with the exception of Sharp Mesa Vista. Staff in the Patient Management Center will be responsible for placing direct admissions and working with physicians looking to transfer their patients to Sharp HealthCare from an outside facility. Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system.
