    Performance Improvement Coordinator - SCMG Summary Sharp Community Medical Group (SCMG) is one of the state's largest and most successful IPAs. Established in 1989, it has over 140,000 members and is comprised of 200 primary care physicians and 500 specialists. The Health Services division of SCMG coordinates the medical care of members for inpatient and outpatient services and has a staff of 80 nurses, coordinators and support personnel to manage utilization review, case management and quality improvement functions. Sharp Community doctors admit to all Sharp hospitals and Rady Childrens Hospital. In addition, Sharp Community patients have access to urgent care centers throughout the county. Under the direction of the Manager of Process Improvement and Practice Transformation and the Medical Director of Population Health, this position is accountable for providing support and training to physician practices to execute on opportunities for improved quality, clinical workflows, and performance. This role is responsible for maintaining collaborative team relationships with peers, colleagues, and physician practices to effectively and efficiently achieve organizational goals. Supports process improvement to enhance physician and staff workflows and drive performance improvement. Location This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County Hours 8 hour day shift Required Skills and Qualifications * Associates degree or commensurate experience * Minimum 3 years of experience in a health care or clinical quality improvement Knowledge of quality improvement principles, project management, and team facilitation * Previous experience with application and implementation of quality improvement methodologies * Experience in leadership, conflict management and team building skills. * Experience in presenting to a group of people and working with individuals 1:1. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications * Position will travel between Sharp facilities and SCMG provider offices; must have own transportation with adequate insurance coverage Preferred Skills and Qualifications * Bachelors degree * Experience working with physician practices and IHA P4P/HEDIS ** ** ** ** Additional Physical Requirements will be discussed during the interview Sharp HealthCare is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
