GENERAL SUMMARY
The Manager, Keystone Board - Associate Board is responsible for implementing and overseeing all activities of the Boards as directed by the Chief Advancement Officer/President, Keystone Board. The Manager will work with the Chairs of the Boards and all Committees of the Boards to support the philanthropic and outreach goals on behalf of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. The Manager will work on development and execution of annual board goals, gift management and stewardship processes, providing logistical support for fundraising or friendraising events and securing sponsorships and tracking budgets. Collaborates with Marketing on web content and social media for the Boards.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
THE MANAGER, KEYSTONE BOARD - ASSOCIATE BOARD:
- Maintains the integrity of Board related fundraising in Raiser’s Edge and manages all Raiser’s Edge requests for reports/data.
- Manages Board budgets and contributions to Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. Maintains operating expense budget for Associate Board.
- Works with Chief Advancement Officer/President, Keystone Board on events.
- Collaborates with Manager, Donor Relations & Individual Giving on electronic newsletter and works with Marketing on creating and producing annual board newsletter.
- Works with Marketing on event registration websites and utilizing social media as marketing strategies.
- Maintains Board content and event photos and collaborates with Marketing to promote on Shirley Ryan AbilityLab website.
- Manages and oversees Board committees and board meetings and provides assistance and direction to Board Presidents, Chair, Committee Chairs and Members.
- Meets with Advancement staff to collaborate on projects and fundraising initiatives.
- Works with the Advancement staff to ensure donor recognition for Board members.
- Drafts stewardship and cultivation correspondence and updates correspondence as needed per event and per fiscal year.
- Maintains accuracy of Board rosters and preferred recognition in all forms of communications.
- Collaborates with Manager, Donor Relations & Individual Giving on Board Annual Appeal production, distribution and stewardship.
- Organizes mailings including, but not limited to, event invitations, save-the-dates, newsletters, general solicitations (as assigned), member correspondence and recognition.
- Participates on the SkyRise Chicago committee and secures in-kind sponsorships through cultivating partner relationships with Board members.
- Provides operational and leadership support for events and special initiatives, including customized donor engagements and volunteer opportunities.
- Support logistics planning of Advancement events including working with event owners to create and manage project timelines, budgets and run-of-show program details.
- Lead event-related sourcing and contracting processes, including catering, room reservations, transportation and audio-visual services.
- Manage event logistics on-site, including coordination with catering, facilities and security teams, event production, speakers, event staff and additional activities, as applicable.
- Lead third-party fundraising efforts, including brand management event support when applicable and oversight of the third-party fundraising platforms.
- Performs all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports directly to the Senior Director, Advancement, with a dotted-line relationship to the Chief Advancement Officer/President, Keystone Board, for all Keystone Board activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, marketing or related field required.
- Strong working knowledge of data management and of Raiser's Edge required.
- Minimum of three years philanthropy or related experience.
- Must possess aptitude for problem solving that will allow manager to grow into a role requiring greater initiative and independent management of projects.
- Strong computer skills, knowledge of hardware/software utilization, familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, Excel and Power Point. Strong knowledge of mail merges.
- Must be highly detail oriented, possess strong organizational skills and work efficiently both independently and as a team.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen.
- Familiarity with social media.
- Must be willing to work some nights and weekends.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills and possess excellent proofreading skills.
- Must have a strong sense of responsibility and superior interpersonal skills in order to appropriately represent the Boards.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hybrid remote and in-office schedule.
- Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
