    The Knowledge Translation Project Coordinator plans, coordinates and implements knowledge translation activities across multiple projects within the Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research (CROR). The Knowledge Translation Project Coordinator develops knowledge translation deliverables in accordance to objectives, schedules and budgets and proactively recommends strategies and implementation processes to obtain maximum productivity while meeting all project needs.

     

    The KT Project Coordinator works with supervisor (Principal Investigator, Research Manager, or Project Manager) to run the day-to-day operations of dissemination, utilization, and training activities within CROR. This includes developing deliverables to promote awareness of CROR findings, relationship building and management with various knowledge translation partners, as well as producing project reports and contributing to manuscripts and other dissemination products.

    Principal Responsibilities

     

    1. In collaboration with CROR directors and managers, develop and determine knowledge translation strategic priorities and monitor status of knowledge translation projects and events on an ongoing basis. Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirement. 
    2. Foster and maintain relationships with various disability and knowledge translation partners.
    3. Disseminate CROR’s knowledge translation deliverables, with support from research project teams and partners.
    4. Assist with scheduling and producing webinars, podcasts and workshops per project deliverables.
    5. Support development and dissemination of CROR newsletters.
    6. Curate social media posts and campaigns to reflect the CROR brand and projects. Monitor social media statistics and provide data as needed.
    7. Developing plain language and easy-read materials (infographics, research summaries, briefs) to promote CROR research findings.
    8. Provide guidance on accessibility of knowledge translation deliverables.
    9. Prepare recurring and special reports.
    10. Assist tracking and reporting of all knowledge translation activities and key metrics, and performance improvement evaluation.
    11. Ensure KT Standard Operating Procedure documents are complete and current.
    12. Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab

     

     

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

    1. Reports directly to the appropriate Principal Investigator or Project Manager.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    1. Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    1.      Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field and three to five years experience in a general office environment with gradually increasing responsibility.  2-3 years research experience preferred.

    2.      Skill in operating a personal computer and utilizing Microsoft software, and other multimedia content creation tools such as HootSuite/Buffer/Loomly, Canva, podcasting and video editing software.

    3.      Knowledge of federal accessibility guidelines and best practices preferred

    4.      Demonstrated project planning and management procedures, practices, and techniques.

    5.      Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact on a daily basis with internal/external customers.

    6.      Advanced organizational skills necessary to efficiently prioritize and complete a variety of tasks and provide leadership when required.

    7.      Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting in order to maximize quality and efficiency of operations.
