    GENERAL SUMMARY

     

    The Marketing Manager will lead the development of marketing communications and materials targeted to the donor audience. They will collaborate with the Advancement team to develop and execute all marketing initiatives associated with the Advance Human Ability Capital Campaign and annual fundraising initiatives.

     

    The Marketing Manager will consistently demonstrate support of the SRAlab statement of Vision, Mission and Core Values by striving for excellence, contributing to the team efforts and showing respect and compassion for patients and their families, fellow employees, and all others with whom there is contact or in the interest of the institute.

     

    The Marketing Manager will demonstrate SRAlab Core Attributes: Communication, Accountability, Flexibility/Adaptability, Judgment/Problem Solving, Customer Service and SRAlab Values (Hope, Compassion, Discovery, Collaboration, & Commitment to Excellence) while fulfilling job duties.

     

     

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    THE MARKETING MANAGER WILL:

    1. Serve as the primary marketing liaison with Advancement. The Marketing Manager will also work closely with marketing and agency partners to execute the Advancement marketing plan.
    2. Co-develop all marketing materials for the donor audience. Work closely with Advancement to identify communication opportunities and objectives. Create and track process flow charts.  Source images, in tandem with Advancement gather meaningful & relevant content, generate detailed outlines as necessary for Agency project briefing documents. Projects may include:
    • Quarterly Campaign newsletters (printed & digital)
    • Innovation Center Events (including invitations, collateral, on-site presentations)
    • Board newsletters
    • Annual Appeals (Woman’s Board and Annual Giving)
    • Board meetings (invitations, event coordination and presentations)
    • Board events (Art in Motion, Art & Antiques, WB Gala – invitations, programs, on-site signage)
    • Holiday Cards
    • Research Open Houses (invites, collateral and signage)
    • Donor events preceding the opening of the new hospital
    1. Continually explore ways to create greater engagement with recipients including donors, grateful patients and patient’s families.
    2. Identify and implement methods to monitor success of donor marketing initiatives.
    3. Assist and contribute to the introduction and implementation of SRAlab new content management system which will aggregate and share updated news on research, patient stories and SRAlab community involvement. This content will be utilized in a variety of donor communications.
    4. Assist the Director and Associate Director of Marketing with the development of a strategy and execution of new research hospital events including the topping off and 2017 launch along with all related communications, collateral and Public Relations.
    5. Serve as the point person for all Agency relationships and first level of approvals of all work to ensure copy accuracy and adherence to design standards for all Advancement communications and materials.
    6. Other duties as assigned

     

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

    1. Reports directly to the Director of Marketing

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

    1. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field a plus
    2. Five (5) to seven (7) years experience in Marketing, Advertising or Communications
    3. Highly skilled in written and verbal communications
    4. Experience leading and directing a creative or design agency or comparable internal department
    5. Strong project management skills – adept at planning, organizing, prioritizing and executing simultaneous projects and activities on a daily basis
    6. Self-starter who is naturally curious, eager and interested in learning new things. Actively seeks opportunities, evaluates and considers applications for execution at SRAlab
    7. Solution oriented – capable of assessing situations and developing options for resolution
    8. Passionate about mission based marketing and recognizes the value of working with small, hands on strategic marketing team that is also responsible for execution and tactical details.
    9. Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, In Design & Illustrator) a plus
    10. Direct experience using a content management system such as Divvy HQ, Marketo or Kapost a plus

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    1. Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
