    GENERAL SUMMARY

    The Web Content Associate Marketing Manager will collaborate with the Associate Director, Digital Marketing to develop marketing strategies that optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness and improve customer satisfaction. They will collaborate on new content & functionality and supports the day-to-day maintenance of the dynamic website. They will work closely with digital agencies contributing to ongoing SEO improvements and optimizing SEM to increase prospective patient awareness and conversion. They will create and maintain digital signage placed throughout the hospital (flagship & offsites) and assist with training or support at those locations. Together with the Marketing Manager, they’ll execute an engaging social media strategy and provide assistance to the entire Marketing Team. They will work closely with internal and external technical teams to maintain current site standards ensuring content and functionality are correct and operational. They’ll also support digital initiatives with Research, Academy and Advancement departments as well as others, on an as needed basis.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    THE WEB CONTENT ASSOCIATE MARKETING MANAGER:

    1. Develops optimized content on sralab.org, aligned with in-bound web strategy set by Associate Director; optimizes consumer-facing content and metadata for SEO and suggests improvements on an ongoing basis.
    2. Takes ownership of system-wide digital signage project from device management to content creation; curating submissions for content clarity and consistency, identifies and sources media and controls network of signage feeds.
    3. Identifies and implements editorial strategy for social media channels, with Marketing Manager, and ensures consistency with brand standards, voice & personality. Provides technical expertise to align posts with in-bound web traffic goals.
    4. Supports Associate Director in projects that enhance goals of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s administrative, clinical and research teams, and provides ongoing technical and functional support to all internal departments.
    5. Builds, updates, monitors and creates content and HTML code email marketing campaigns utilizing web and new content via contracted Email CMS and vendors.
    6. Participates in meetings with web development and search engine marketing agencies. Assists in ticket creation and prioritizing updates considering department and organizational needs.
    7. Collaborates with Associate Director on web analytics; provides insights to improve SEO, on-site search, and SEM campaigns.
    8. Engages regularly with all other Marketing team members on a variety of projects, providing ideas – support – and other input throughout the year.
    9. Provides graphic design support, as needed, for departments throughout the organizations by working within brand standards.
    10. Monitors and reports relevant competitor activities on an annual basis as well as noteworthy and applicable trends and innovations in digital design and functionality.
    11. Performs all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

    1. Reports directly to Associate Director, Digital Marketing.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

    1. A professional level of knowledge in marketing and web development generally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising, or related field.
    2. Proven ability to work effectively within a cross-departmental team and a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing content or production for high-traffic, multi-dimensional websites.
    3. Extensive knowledge of SEO principles and ability to coach others on implementing these SEO practices.
    4. Capability to read and interpret web analytics and apply to different audiences and settings.
    5. Basic Knowledge of simple HTML and CSS – with ability to recognize, diagnose and correct errors when needed.
    6. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of departments and team members and varying levels of seniority.
    7. A strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
    8. Able to apply principles of design to effectively communicate key messages, manage complexity and create audience engagement.
    9. Experience using email CMS.
    10. A strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Office. Experience with Jira or other project management software a plus.
    11. Experience working with and directing outside agencies.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    1. Partially remote with some in-person, exact schedules to be determined
    2. Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
