SHOP MANAGER (Both locations- Marlton and Mount Laurel) The Shop Manager is responsible for the overall shop operations, leading the internal and external client experience, attracting and recruiting high-quality candidates, maintaining positive team morale, and achieving daily budget goals. This role involves coaching and providing feedback to the team members, optimizing the shop's financial potential, and maintaining the overall visual shop appearance per brand standards. You will be responsible for driving excellence in stylist hiring, training, product education, and overall client experience. Your role will encompass coaching new and existing team members, facilitating advanced training sessions, monitoring product knowledge, and ensuring the highest standards of hair quality and client satisfaction. The client experience and operations of the day to day fall in your hands. The outreach and community involvement is also a large role in this position’s success.
The Shop Manager is also responsible for identifying and developing talent within the team and ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to. Primary Job Duties
· Shop and Leadership Team Management: Oversee and lead the shop's leadership team, providing guidance and training as necessary.
· Recruitment and Selection: Interview and select high-quality candidates who align with our company culture and can meet Drybar standards after thorough training. Take the initiative to attract and recruit Stylists locally and develop relationships with local beauty schools and bartenders (receptionists)
· Financial Management: Set and meet daily budget goals, understand and optimize the shop's P&L, and maximize the shop's financial potential.
· Team Development: Coach and provide feedback to all team members, ensuring Drybar standards are met at all times, and invest additional time in coaching high potential stylists and bartenders for future leadership roles.
· Brand Standards and Safety: Maintain the overall visual shop appearance per brand standards, inspire safety culture, and resolve team member relations and customer issues while protecting the company against liability.
· Compliance and Communication: Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, be up-to-date with company-wide communications, and process time worked accurately for Payroll.
· Training and Development: Oversee the hiring and training of bartenders and shift leads, support the hiring of stylists, and perform operational training to supplement technical hair training.
· Stylist Hiring & Recruiting: Assist in hosting and setting up recruiting events, managing candidate pipeline, scheduling interviews and auditions, and updating recruitment checklists on a regular basis.
· Product Education: Train all team members on product benefits and usage, monitor stylist retail per client, and spearhead product launches. Ensure stylists educate clients on product usage at home.
· Client Experience: Monitor and apply feedback, interact with clients to receive firsthand feedback and coach stylists to enhance the overall client experience.
· Stylist Experience: Engage and motivate staff through fun contests and activities, while fostering a company-aligned culture within the shop.
· Shop Flow & Floor Support: Assist stylists on the floor, provide coaching in the moment to encourage efficient timing, and lead by example in delivering exceptional service to clients.
· Reporting & Communication: Join SE monthly calls, share bi-weekly and month-to-date recaps to the Franchise SE team and Drybar Education Support Team, and maintain regular communication with operating partners/managers on shop feedback.
· Drive Membership Growth and Retention
· Manage emails and the day to day shop flow and customer satisfaction
· Ordering for the shop- product and functional needs, making sure we have change in registers.
· Work closely with the Regional Shop Educator to ensure compliance and positive culture within our shop.
· Community partnerships and engagement.
