    STARTING PAY RATE:  $18.83 / hour

    12 HOUR NIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL:  $1.50 / HOUR

    2ND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL:  $1.50 / HOUR

    3RD SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL:  $1.50 / HOUR

     

    WORK SCHEDULES:

    ROTATING 3-2-2 SCHEDULE (rotating days of the week)

    12 hour shifts (6:00 PM TO 6:00 AM)

    Must be willing and able to work EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS

    2ND & 3RD SHIFT (MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY)

    3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

    11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

    GLUER OPERATOR POSITION DESCRIPTION

    POSITION PURPOSE

    • Operates and holds overall responsibility for product outcomes associated with straight-line gluers, promotional gluers, and related peripheral converting equipment. • Interprets and documents standards related to equipment and product performance/quality. • Maintains equipment. • Leader of assigned crewmembers. • Supervision for position is random and minimal.

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Operates and holds overall responsibility for product outcomes associated with straight-line gluers, promotional gluers, and related peripheral converting equipment. • Interprets and documents standards related to equipment and product performance/quality. • Maintains equipment. • Leader of assigned crewmembers. • Supervision for position is random and minimal.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    • Performs equipment operations, adjustments, tests, and conversions of all primary/peripheral equipment associated with converting operations. • Motivates crewmembers to ensure quality, efficiency, area cleanliness, safety, and SQF standards are maintained. • Tests and inspects products as required to ensure consistent quality and operational standards. • Verifies and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production. • Maintains equipment by performing minor maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, adjustments, repairs, and authorized modifications. • Performs other organizational duties as required.

    Mechanical and technical skills preferred.  Must have good communication skills.

    Abilities-Good attendance, lead/motivate teams and processes, ability to work alone.

  • Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    1. High school Diploma or GED.
    2. Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) OR formal training in the military as a surgical corpsman or medic  OR  a minimum of three (3) years demonstrated scrub experience performing a wide variety of procedures.
    3. Current BLS and must remain current to retain position
    4. Has completed OR department orientation and passed the skills competency tests
    5. Ability to stand for the majority of the work time; sometimes wearing a 10 lb. x-ray apron for several hours at a time; lifting 50lbs., pushing/pulling 125lbs.,frequent lifting 1-25lb. sterile trays during the course of the day.
    6. Good communication and written skills.
    7. Ability to handle stressful situations and changing conditions; flexibility to adapt to scheduling changes and changes in patient condition. Good time management skills and ability to be self-directed.

     

    Preferred experience in the following specialties: general, orthopedic, GYN, plastics, podiatry; DaVinci robot highly preferred.
