    Will be responsible for daily maintenance of drug distribution system. Able to prepare intravenous products under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Has a working knowledge of medication usage, dosage forms, and pharmaceutical calculations. Will update and maintain pharmacy orders, print reports, submit third party payor bills, and package medicines. Will make rounds to various floors, fills medicine carts, and assists in preparing stock items used on the floor. Additionally, this position will enter drug orders into the computer system, fill prescriptions, perform monthly and daily billing responsibilities, and other clerical duties within the department.

    Required Skills

    • High school diploma or the equivalent
    • Successfully completed the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination.
    • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
    • Pharmaceutical work experience and general knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and products preferred
