Summary SAVOR... a leading provider of food and beverage services at
sports, entertainment and convention facilities has an excellent and
immediate opening for HR Designee for SAVOR/SMG State Farm Arena.
Coordinates and prepares payroll for all employees in compliance with
state and federal wage and hour requirements and SMG policy. Is
responsible for the day-to-day operations of human resources ensuring
the efficient delivery of HR services. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. *
Processes facility payroll. * Processes all wage garnishments,
deductions, and payments for applicable employees. * Calculates and
processes vacation and sick pay requests. * Prepares payroll
adjustments. * Prepares manual checks, maintain check log and post to
ADP. * Prepares and updates payroll journal vouchers. * Processes
activities related to recruitment and hiring such as posting jobs on job
board or website, screening applications, arranging interviews and
maintaining the applicant flow log. * Coordinates pre-employment tests
as required, including background checks. * Conducts new hire
orientation and employee training programs. * Ensures that all paperwork
is filled out properly including W-4's, I-9, application, direct deposit
form and insurance forms. * Prepares documentation needed for new hires,
or effective changes in pay, status, or benefits. * Prepares paperwork
needed to create new employee profile in HRIS system. * Maintains Human
Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
- Assists with benefit administration including enrollment, and
cancellation. * Responds to employee requests and provides HR services.
- Processes worker's compensation claims. * Maintains HR state and
federal regulatory compliance. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly
supervises administrative employees in the Human Resources Department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with SMG's
policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing,
hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing
complaints and resolving problems. Supervision on and during events will
be required as well, include the following. Other duties may be
assigned. * Ensures that all staffing/scheduling has been completed *
All locations are set in accordance to the estimated attendance *
Ensures that excellent customer service is being executed in all
departements -- Catering and Concessions * Ensures that all employees
are following proper procedures and policies, * Ensures that all
requirements addressed for the event are being accomplished such as
cut-off times for alcohol/liquor, certain items that are not allowed to
be sold in concessions, proper credentials are being worn for access to
certain areas, etc. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an

Education and/or Experience * High School diploma or G.E.D. required;
Associates degree preferred. * Minimum 2 years experience in ADP
Payroll/HR procedures and E-Time. * Excellent communication, problem
solving and organizational skills required. * Advanced knowledge and
experience with Outlook, Microsoft word & excel. Skills and Abilities
Solid knowledge of principals and practices of personnel administration
Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent verbal, written
and interpersonal skills essential Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA
and related state and federal regulations required Computer Skills To
perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient In
Word and Excel. Experience with ADP or HRIS software payroll systems
desirable. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations No certifications are
required. Other Qualifications * Ability to work flexible hours,
including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business
