Housekeeping Crew Leader SMG 190 reviews - Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 Position Summary: To assure the cleanliness and maintenance of the interior and exterior of the facility by performing and leading crews who perform custodial tasks involving manual labor. Responsibilities: * Relay work orders to labor crews. * Work directly with Event Coordinators and Housekeeping/Setup Supervisor during events to ensure completion of last minute changes and handle any immediate event- related need. * Conduct on-the-job training of new employees and on-going training as needed for current employees. * Monitor and maintain housekeeping equipment take damaged equipment to in-house shop for repairs. * Oversee and assist in preparation of all areas of the facility including walls, windows, restrooms and furniture by utilizing specialized equipment and cleaning supplies. * Ability to work with various cleaning agents (see attached generally used chemical list). * Oversee and assist with vacuuming, sweeping and/or mopping all floors, carpeting, hallways, service corridors and walkways * Oversee and assist with the emptying and removal of all trash including bulk trash for the exhibit hall as assigned; participate in the recycling program. * Regular attendance in conformation with the standard, which may be established by SMG from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of our operation. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. * Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays to reflect the business needs of the facility.. * Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with SMG rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Employees who violas SMG rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Supervisory Responsibilities: Assist in supervising employees on crew. Directs and coordinates labor in order to maintain building cleanliness.
