    Stamford Health is seeking an experienced individual to join the Perioperative team as a Full Time Central Processing Technician at Tully Health Center (32 Strawberry Hill Ct, Stamford, CT 06905). This is a great opportunity to work with state of the art machinery and new age instrumentation.

    The Central Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and high-level disinfection of all reusable medical instrumentation. This individual will maintain adequate supply levels in the sterile storage area, rotate stock and pull case carts for daily surgical schedule. 

    Schedule: Day shift, 7:00am-3:00pm, rotating weekends and holidays.

    Significant portions of daily assignments involve prolonged standing, transporting material & equipment, or lifting, moving, or carrying moderately heavy (over 20 pounds) for intermittent periods throughout the day.

    Required Skills

    1. High School diploma or GED equivalent required

    2. Certificate as a Certified Registered Central Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST) required

    3. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Lead in Central Sterile Department

    4) Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO) certificate preferred

    5) Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) certificate preferred

    Required Experience
