    Johnson and Johnson Vision is recruiting for a Senior Packaging Technician, located in Jacksonville, Florida.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leads troubleshooting and resolving equipment, systems, and process problems to prevent the occurrence of product and process non-conformances.

    • Provides technical support for team members of all electronic systems, i.e. eDHR, MES.

    • Understands and can communicate all processes and systems involved in the end-to-end process.

    • Works closely with engineering teams when troubleshooting the equipment and processes.

    • Provides peer leadership, coaching, coordinating, scheduling, monitoring, communicating, and problem solving for all line activities.

    • Demonstrates ability to cover for Supervisor when required for non-supervisory activities.

    • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • A minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

    Experience and Skills:

    Required:

    • At least 6 years of production experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility is required.

    • Proven experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is required.

    • Excellent communication and social skills, with proven ability to interact with multiple teams and work in cross-functional environments is required.

    • Experience using MES, and eDHR is required.

    • Outstanding interpersonal skills, both written and oral, are required.

    • Ability to prioritize projects and tasks is required.

    • Required Physical demands of the position include stooping, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 lbs.), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, and standing.

    • Green badge certification completed.

    Preferred:

    • Vocational, Certificate, Technical or associate degree emphasizing electro-mechanical, PLC, pneumatics or equivalent industrial experience is preferred.

    • Solid understanding and troubleshooting skills in the following areas is required:

    Process improvement, Line knowledge, PLC systems, electro/mechanical devices, safety devices, equipment installation, debug and qualification, control circuitry, electro-mechanical troubleshooting/repair, production start-up.

    Other:

    • Continuous operations schedule, Days 6am-6pm, 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on 2 days off 3 days off 2 days on. This schedule includes working 2 weekends a month.

    • No work-related travel required.
